Ethereum Fees Plummet by Over 85% Amid Network Capacity Boost

The Ethereum network has seen a significant drop in fees, with the average cost of an ETH transfer falling to around $0.095 compared to its peak of $0.72 on April 21.

This represents a decline of over 85%, according to Santiment data.

The reduction in fees is attributed to several factors, including the activation of Fusaka in December 2025, which increased capacity for rollups and introduced PeerDAS to better manage data.

In addition, the gas limit per block was raised to 60 million, allowing more operations to be processed without users competing for space.
