The Ethereum Foundation has bolstered its board with the addition of security expert pcaversaccio, also known as 'pc', for a one-year voluntary term. This comes after a major restructuring that reduced the organization's workforce by 54 employees and reorganized it around five domains.

Pc co-founded SEAL 911, an emergency response service that connects projects and users facing security incidents with vetted researchers. He has experience handling real-time attacks, coordinating incident responses, and recovering assets - a unique perspective for the board.

The appointment brings calibration to the board, which weighs trade-offs between privacy and censorship resistance in theory rather than practice. Pc's input is based on his experience responding to live incidents and watching which safeguards hold up under pressure.
