Fed Holds Interest Rates Steady, Bitcoin Volatility Returns

The Federal Reserve's FOMC meeting concluded with a 9-3 vote to maintain interest rates at 3.50% to 3.75%. This decision was seen as the most unpredictable in at least six years, given the high percentage of agreements on previous meetings.

Investors had been anticipating a potential rate hike, but the Fed's choice not to raise rates may indicate a more dovish stance under new Chair Kevin Warsh. Bitcoin, which had dropped by $3,000 ahead of the meeting, rebounded to $64,500 before slipping back below $63,800.

The cryptocurrency then experienced minor volatility after the announcement, rising above $64,000 as investors await Warsh's press conference for further guidance on future monetary policy.
