Ethereum Price Prediction: Analyst Sees $12,000 Target
Analyst John Gillen says Ethereum's move above $2,500 clears the way for further price growth. According to him, ETH should reach $3,000 'pretty quickly' and has a possible run toward $10,000 to $12,000 over the next two years if key conditions hold.
Gillen emphasized that predicting Ethereum's price is much harder than Bitcoin's due to sharp price swings without a set pattern. He laid out a step-by-step roadmap for ETH:
$2,500: A key resistance level broken and held by ETH, which must not be lost.
$3,000: The next target expected to arrive 'pretty quickly.'
$5,000: A historical ceiling Ethereum has reached twice without breaking through. Above this level, the price enters discovery territory, where no one can confidently say where the top sits.
Gillen pointed to Ethereum's recent developments, including its switch from proof of work to proof of stake and a steady stream of institutions launching products on the network. This has led to ETH dominating 55% to 70% of tokenized assets, stablecoins, and agentic finance markets.
