Ethereum Price Tumbles Amid Market Volatility Ahead of Glamsterdam Upgrade
Ethereum's price has been dropping alongside the broader crypto market due to rising oil prices and US Treasury yields pushing investors away from risk assets.
Despite this, Ethereum is set for a major upgrade with the Sepolia testnet launch on October 6. The upgrade, known as Glamsterdam, aims to reduce transaction costs and triple the network's throughput, potentially bolstering usage.
The increase in volatility has some experts warning that it might precede stronger movements in Ethereum price. Data from CryptoQuant shows that Ethereum's 30-day realized volatility on Binance has increased to 0.73, the highest reading since March 2026.
