Ethereum Price Volatility Sparks Debate Over $10,000 Target
Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, has been trading at around $128 in recent months. However, its price has been volatile, with a significant downtrend over the past few months.
The Ethereum network is decentralized and scarce, similar to Bitcoin, but it offers additional features like allowing developers to build new applications on top of it. There are thousands of developers building applications on Ethereum, which has one of the largest blockchain active communities. Additionally, most tokens are built on the Ethereum platform, with over 200,000 ERC-20 tokens currently in existence.
Ethereum's price situation is uncertain due to recent delays in Ethereum 2.0 upgrades and a significant theft of coins worth $105 million as part of the PlusToken scam. This has led to selling pressure on the cryptocurrency.
