Ethereum, Solana, and Arbitrum on the Up: Predictions Point to Brighter Futures
The worst may be over for Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and Arbitrum (ARB) according to recent predictions.
Ethereum, still down 49% from its peak, is expected to benefit from major updates and growth drivers. The upcoming Glamsterdam upgrade in the fourth quarter of 2026 will increase the gas limit, making it less expensive for smart contracts to execute, which should attract AI agents looking to do business on the network.
The idea behind Glamsterdam is to create new scaling features that appeal to automated users, generating significant transaction fees and economic activity. This could be a tailwind for Ethereum's price, especially since it will remedy some of the issues that led to its decline over the past five years.
Solana, down 66% from its all-time high, is also competing with AI agents and struggling with supply and scaling capacity. However, it has secured a governance vote to double its yearly inflation rate decline, which will reduce its issuance by 18.9 million coins over six years.
Arbitrum, down 94% from its peak, is making a comeback thanks to Robinhood Markets' new chain, which runs on Arbitrum's technology and sends 10% of net revenue to the Arbitrum ecosystem. This should provide a significant tailwind for the coin, especially since it has historically struggled with low transaction fees.
