Ethereum Staking Hits Record 34% as ETFs Draw $218M
Ethereum staking has reached a new record of about 34% of supply, while US spot Ethereum ETFs have drawn $218.4 million in the latest week, marking three consecutive weeks of net inflows.
The total number of ETH locked in staking contracts has climbed to over 41.4 million, driven by the yield staking pays and the spread of liquid staking that lowered the entry barrier.
New institutional money is flowing into ETFs that buy and hold Ether, while a growing slice of the total supply is being locked away in staking contracts and taken out of circulation.
This creates a setup where steady demand meets tightening supply, which could potentially impact price. The tradable float is shrinking even though the total coin count barely changes.
