Ethereum Towers Over Public Token Sales as Top Five Chains Dominate
Public token sales have reached $1.42 billion this year, but the capital is not spreading evenly across the landscape. According to data from CryptoRank, five blockchain ecosystems account for approximately 94% of this total amount.
Ethereum dominates the fundraising scene, with a whopping $334 million in public token sale proceeds. BNB Chain comes second with $288 million, followed by Base at $269 million and Solana at $241 million. Sonic rounds out the top five with $206 million.
The dominance of these top chains can be attributed to their established developer infrastructure and user base. Ethereum's persistent fee spikes during high-demand periods have not deterred developers from building on the network, which remains a magnet for protocol development.
$BNB Chain and Base are gaining popularity among projects seeking cheap transactions and a built-in user funnel without leaving the Ethereum Virtual Machine orbit. Solana has rebuilt its credibility after multiple network-outage cycles earlier in the cycle, appealing to projects that want speed without fragmentation.
