Ethereum Whale Siphons $19.5M from Kraken Ahead of Potential Market Shift
An Ethereum whale made headlines by moving over $19.5 million in Ether from Kraken to a staking contract, sparking debate among analysts about the direction of the market.
The wallet, identified as 0x8447, withdrew 10,300 tokens worth around $9.98 million on Monday and another 5,000 tokens valued at approximately $9.53 million in the following trading day. This brings the total amount removed from Kraken's order books to roughly $19.5 million.
The same wallet then staked 2,020 tokens worth about $3.84 million through Ethereum's Beacon Deposit Contract, rendering them inaccessible for spot sellers until the validator goes inactive.
Analyst Ted Pillows believes the uptrend remains intact and predicts a breakout above the resistance zone of $1,945 to $1,960, which could lead to a price increase towards $2,030. However, Merlijn The Trader expects a dip towards $1,715 before any expansion phase begins.
