EU MiCA Regulation Boosts BNB Price as Institutional Adoption Gains Momentum
The European Union's MiCA (Markets in Crypto Assets) regulation has continued to shape the crypto market, with the latest development seeing 12 more companies receiving approval under the framework. This brings the total number of licensed Crypto Asset Service Providers to 321. The update also saw three companies listed on the non-compliant register.
The news comes as a boost to the market, with regulatory clarity being seen as essential for institutional trust. Ripple has been at the forefront of this development, having received full EU authorization for a MiCA Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) license from Luxembourg's CSSF last month.
The recent approval under MiCA is expected to further facilitate institutional adoption in the European region. Binance Coin (BNB), which has seen its price surge in recent days, is also benefiting from the increased regulatory clarity. The derivatives market of BNB has become more active, with trading volume increasing by 56.10% to reach $719.90M.
The open interest and price increase indicate that new long positions are entering the market, contributing to the upward price trend of BNB. With the immediate resistance at $600 and a successful breakout above this barrier, BNB could accelerate bullish momentum to $610.
