Fairshake Backs 32 U.S. House Candidates with $1 Million Each for Top Crypto Allies
Fairshake, the leading political action committee for the crypto industry, has unveiled its latest list of endorsed candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives elections in November. The group is backing 13 Democrats and 19 Republicans, all current representatives, with six of them receiving a significant $1 million each in support from Fairshake and its affiliates. Geoff Vetter, a spokesman for the super PAC, emphasized that Fairshake remains focused on supporting pro-crypto candidates across both parties.
Among the top Republican recipients are French Hill, the chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, Bill Huizenga, a senior member of that committee, and Bryan Steil, who leads the subcommittee on digital assets. On the Democratic side, Steven Horsford from Nevada and Derek Tran from California are receiving higher support levels, along with Janelle Bynum from Oregon. All three have received an 'A' rating on digital assets issues from Stand With Crypto.
The 32 House incumbents on Fairshake's list are strategically positioned for upcoming crypto legislative efforts, with many serving on key committees such as the House Ways and Means Committee and the House Financial Services Committee. Vetter highlighted that Fairshake has already backed 53 winners out of 57 primary races and aims to create 'the largest pro-crypto caucus in American history.' The group's strategy includes favoring candidates from the party likely to win the general election, a tactic that proved successful in the previous election.
