Fairshake Commits $30 Million to Block Sherrod Brown’s Ohio Senate Bid
Crypto-focused super PAC Fairshake is committing at least $30 million to oppose former Sen. Sherrod Brown’s bid to return to the U.S. Senate in Ohio, making it the group's largest disclosed spending target of the 2026 general election so far.
The campaign will include advertising and direct mail against Brown, who is challenging Republican Sen. Jon Husted in the November 3 special election. Fairshake had previously spent tens of millions of dollars in Ohio during the 2024 election, when Brown lost his Senate seat to Republican Bernie Moreno.
Fairshake's latest commitment adds to its existing war chest of roughly $193 million, with approximately $113 million in cash on hand as of July 31. The group expects to announce additional midterm spending decisions in the coming days and weeks.
