Fairshake PAC backs 32 House members in midterm crypto push
The crypto industry’s leading political spender, Fairshake, has revealed its endorsements ahead of the midterms. On October 5, 2026, the group announced plans to back 32 incumbent US House members who supported the CLARITY Act, a digital asset market structure bill passed by the House in 2025 but stalled in the Senate.
Fairshake’s support splits evenly along party lines, with 19 Republicans and 13 Democrats receiving backing. The financial commitment is substantial, with at least $1 million allocated to six candidates, totaling a minimum of $6 million for that group. Fairshake had approximately $120 million in cash reserves before recent spending announcements.
The CLARITY Act aims to clarify regulatory frameworks for digital assets and define oversight between the SEC and CFTC. Although it passed the House in July 2025 with a 294-134 vote, it failed a key Senate cloture vote on September 15, 2026, falling short by 11 votes.
Fairshake’s strategy focuses on protecting existing allies rather than seeking new ones. While the House support is solid, the Senate remains the bottleneck. The group’s decision to back 13 Democrats highlights bipartisan engagement, and its substantial financial reserves suggest potential for further spending as the midterms approach.
