Fairshake PAC Drops $1.89 Million on Ads for Massachusetts Rep in Primary

Share

A political action committee (PAC) affiliated with Fairshake has spent approximately $1.89 million on media ads in Massachusetts' 4th Congressional District ahead of its primary election, supporting Democratic Representative Jake Auchincloss's bid for re-election.

The expenditure is the latest move by Fairshake to intervene in the 2026 elections, which it has invested over $130 million in advertising and media promotions in since the 2024 electoral cycle.

Massachusetts' primary election is set to take place on Tuesday. Democratic candidate Jason Poulos wrote a letter to Auchincloss on August 16, demanding that he 'publicly condemn' Protect Progress's involvement.

Poulos alleged that some of the funds were used for AI-generated junk mail in support of Auchincloss and pointed out that the latter had received $77,500 in direct donations from the crypto industry since 2020. Auchincloss also voted in favor of the Digital Asset Markets Clarity Act in July 2025.
