Fairshake PAC Spends Big on Pro-Crypto House Candidates for Midterms
Fairshake, the crypto industry’s largest political spending network, is backing 32 House candidates ahead of the November midterms, showcasing its bipartisan strategy. The network, along with its two affiliated super PACs, announced support for 19 Republicans and 13 Democrats, all of whom voted for the CLARITY Act in July 2025. This regulatory bill, which aims to clarify standards for token issuance and trading, stalled in the Senate earlier this year.
Six of these candidates will receive the earliest and most significant financial backing: at least $1 million each, evenly split between three Republicans and three Democrats. Fairshake spokesperson Geoff Vetter emphasized the network’s focus on pro-crypto candidates regardless of party affiliation. The network’s combined cash reserves stood at roughly $120.4 million as of September, with previous spending totaling $71 million across 57 primary and special elections.
Outside the House races, Fairshake has committed nearly $30 million to oppose Democratic Senate nominee Sherrod Brown in Ohio. The network had previously spent about $40 million against Brown in 2024 when he chaired the Senate Banking Committee and pushed for stricter crypto regulations. The CLARITY Act’s failure to advance in the Senate highlights the ongoing uncertainty in crypto regulation as the new Congress begins.
