Fake Ripple Website Impersonates Official Branding in New Scam
Ripple's XRP holders have been targeted by a new scam website that impersonates the official Ripple branding. The fake site is offering a reward to investors who never sold their tokens, with the aim of draining their wallets.
The website closely replicates Ripple's design and prompts users to click on a 'Get Early Access' button. However, this activates a crypto wallet drainer, putting users' funds at risk.
XRP Ledger Chief Architect David Schwartz has warned users about the scam, stating 'IT'S A SCAM!' in all caps.
Ripple holders are advised to be cautious and verify website URLs carefully before connecting their wallets. This is not the first time Ripple's XRP has been targeted by scams, highlighting the need for vigilance in the crypto space.
