FBI Agent Fired and Arrested for Stealing $900,000 in Cryptocurrency

Share

A former FBI agent has been accused of stealing over $900,000 in cryptocurrency from accounts being monitored by the agency.

The agent, Patrick Steven Yaroch, allegedly transferred the assets to his personal account using his internal access after becoming frustrated with the government's handling of cryptocurrency use.

The FBI fired Yaroch and arrested him last week on charges of interstate transportation of stolen property and receipt of stolen property.
