The Federal Reserve's recent actions have sparked debate about the true nature of its balance sheet and its impact on the Bitcoin market.

On September 16, the Fed tightened short-term monetary policy by raising the federal-funds target range to 3.75-4.00%, while continuing its reserve-management toolkit in place.

The interest rate paid on reserve balances was set at 3.90%, effective September 17.

At first glance, this may seem like a tightening of monetary policy, but the Fed's actions are actually more nuanced than that.
