The Federal Reserve has announced plans to purchase up to $2.122 billion in Treasury bills next week as part of its broader $17 billion reinvestment plan, which will run through September 14.

This move comes amid renewed focus on system liquidity following sharp price volatility and significant long liquidations in Bitcoin derivatives markets.

The New York Fed has scheduled around $17 billion in total reinvestment purchases between August 14 and September 14. The operation uses principal payments from the Fed's holdings in agency securities to acquire new Treasury bills, primarily with one to four months to maturity.
