Tokenized Stocks Soar to $16 Billion in DEX Trading Volume
Tokenized stocks have taken off on decentralized exchanges (DEXs), generating $16 billion in trading volume over 90 days. This surge has seen tokenized equities grow from a mere 0.1% of total DEX spot volume at the end of 2025 to over 4% by mid-2026.
In June, daily trading volume hit an all-time high of $565 million on Solana, which handled 97.8% of the activity. The tokenized equity DEX volume for Q2 2026 was around $11 billion, with Solana and BNB Chain dominating the market. Uniswap and PancakeSwap accounted for a significant portion of the volume in Q3 2026.
The growth is largely driven by three issuers: Backed Finance (xStocks), Ondo Global Markets, and Binance's bStocks. These tokens are backed 1:1 by real-world assets and offer redemption options through regulated frameworks.
