Fed Raises Rates: Interest Rate Hike Expected to Last Until End of 2027
The U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed) has raised interest rates for the first time since July 2023, taking them to the 3.75-4 percent range.
Bitcoin fluctuated between $75,000 and $76,500 following the decision, while Ether moved within a $2,370-$2,430 band.
The Fed's new projections indicate that interest rates could remain at approximately 4.1 percent until the end of 2027.
According to Bitget analyst Lewis Huang, Bitcoin moved four times more than the S&P 500 on the previous two FOMC trading days.
