Few and Far Founder Taj Tarsha Charged with $10M Investor Fraud
Taj Tarsha, founder of crypto startup Few and Far, has been charged by the US Department of Justice for allegedly defrauding investors who financed his company's NFT marketplace.
The indictment alleges that Tarsha raised over $10 million through SAFT agreements, promising investors their capital would be used to develop the platform. However, prosecutors claim he diverted substantial amounts for personal use, including online casino gambling and speculative cryptocurrency investments.
Tarsha also allegedly concealed bonuses and salary payments worth nearly $1 million and spent investor money on other personal expenses such as a Miami condominium loan and interior decorating. He continued to mislead investors after an internal audit identified the misuse of funds.
