Flare (FLR) Surges on Aster DEX Liquidity Mining and Improving XRPFi Narrative
Flare (FLR) has surged by 6% over the last 30 hours, primarily driven by new liquidity mining incentives on Aster DEX. This short-term breakout is linked to improving XRPFi and tokenomics narratives, as well as mildly bullish social sentiment.
The most direct catalyst for FLR's price increase is the new liquidity mining campaign on Aster DEX, which started on September 29th. Whales locking up spot FLR for yield contributed to this spike, creating short-term demand and reducing available float.
This means the price shift is mainly due to DEX-driven demand and supply locking around Aster liquidity mining, rather than a fundamental change in Flare's technology.
The Aster DEX campaign is part of a broader narrative where Flare's XRP-centric DeFi (XRPFi) and tokenomics have been improving. FXRP has grown significantly, with about 130 million actively deployed in DeFi strategies, and FIP.16 reduced annual FLR issuance from 5% to 3%, tightening tokenomics and supporting price stability.
This structural improvement makes traders more willing to buy into yield opportunities like Aster's liquidity mining.
