Garlinghouse: Failed Clarity Act Vote Won't Halt XRP Progress

Ripple's CEO Brad Garlinghouse has stated that the failed Clarity Act vote in the US Senate will not affect XRP or Ripple's operations. Speaking at the HDAX event, Garlinghouse pointed to the legal clarity already won by Ripple in its court case with the SEC three years ago.

Garlinghouse emphasized that existing financial infrastructure has not kept pace with better, faster, and stronger technologies like crypto, making it 'ridiculous' for the US to cede this technology to other nations. He also acknowledged that while he supports the Clarity Act, its outcome won't stop crypto's progress long-term.

The Senate failed to advance the Clarity Act on September 15, falling short of the 60 votes needed by a 49-50 margin. Seven Democratic senators expressed commitment to passing crypto legislation and stated that this vote was not the end of their work.
