Fed Rate Hike Looms Over Risk Assets as Bitcoin and Gold Face Uncertainty
The Federal Reserve's (Fed) upcoming interest rate decision on Wednesday is casting a shadow over risk assets, including Bitcoin and Gold. The US central bank is widely expected to raise rates for the first time in three months, which could weigh on prices.
Bitcoin has been stabilizing above $75,000 after falling from its previous high of $78,250. Despite this dip, it remains above key support levels, including the 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $73,577 and the broken descending trendline region around $65,462.
Gold, on the other hand, has been edging higher, reaching just above $4,300. However, momentum appears to be lagging, with the Relative Strength Index (RSI) hovering near 48 and the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) in negative territory.
