Gate Dominates Delisting Activity on Centralized Exchanges

Share

Delisting activity on major centralized exchanges has stabilized at around 400-500 tokens per quarter throughout 2026, according to CryptoRank Research. This number is well above the 67 recorded in Q1 2024 but below the record 786 seen in Q2 2025.

The majority of delistings come from a single exchange, Gate, which accounts for nearly 60% of all delistings across major CEXs. In Q2 2026 alone, Gate delisted 221 tokens - more than every other tracked exchange combined.

Gate's aggressive delisting activity began before the 2025 crypto market peak and primarily targeted DeFi, GameFi, and Meme tokens, which are the same categories that saw the most listings in the previous cycle.
