GateToken Tests $11.50 Resistance After $22M Burn and Ecosystem Expansion
GateToken (GT) is testing a crucial resistance level near $11.50 after a strong rebound from its 2026 lows. The token has climbed back above $11, approaching the upper limit of a long-term consolidation range. This movement follows Gate’s latest deflationary token strategy, including a major quarterly burn and expanding ecosystem across Layer-2 and multi-chain infrastructure.
The Q3 2026 on-chain burn removed 1,987,321 GT, valued at over $22.35 million, reducing the total supply by 63.98% of its original 300 million GT. Gate’s buyback and burn strategy, along with the upcoming October 26 unlock of 1.5 million GT, continues to tighten supply. Meanwhile, GT’s utility is expanding with integrations like Arc, Circle’s blockchain, across Gate Trenches, Gate Wallet, and on-chain market data.
GT is currently trading around $11.15, having recovered from a low near $6, $7 earlier this year. The immediate resistance stands at $11.50, with a decisive weekly close above this level potentially targeting the $13.00, $13.50 range. Key support is identified at $10.35, $10.50, with a break below risking a return to the lower consolidation range.
The combination of supply reduction and expanding utility strengthens GT’s fundamental narrative as it approaches a critical technical barrier. The next move will determine whether the recovery evolves into a larger uptrend.
