Genius Group Resumes Bitcoin Buying With 10 BTC Purchase
Genius Group has resumed its Bitcoin acquisitions, purchasing 10 BTC for around $854,000. The company made these purchases between October 2 and October 5, averaging $85,364 per BTC. This move comes after a court lifted a prior injunction that had restricted the company’s ability to raise funds and acquire Bitcoin.
The resumption of Bitcoin buying aligns with Genius Group’s broader treasury strategy, which includes AI assets alongside cryptocurrency holdings. The recent 10 BTC purchase, while modest, signals the company’s commitment to its long-term financial plan. The legal restrictions were removed on August 31 by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, clearing the path for Genius Group to restart its treasury activities.
However, the company’s Bitcoin holdings still carry the risk of price volatility. If Bitcoin’s value increases, it could strengthen Genius Group’s balance sheet. Conversely, a price drop would expose the company to mark-to-market fluctuations. The recent purchase confirms that the legal interruption did not derail the company’s Bitcoin strategy, and future filings will reveal how quickly Genius Group plans to scale its holdings.
