GoMining, a Bitcoin mining and rewards platform, suffered a massive hack on September 4, 2026. The attack targeted over 600 wallets, draining approximately $2.8 million in Ethereum (ETH). According to on-chain monitor Specter, the attackers moved quickly to swap and bridge stolen assets across multiple chains before consolidating everything into about 1,147 ETH.

The bulk of the losses came from a single wallet, which lost nearly the entire haul of approximately $2.79 million in one hit. The remaining losses were spread across over 600 addresses, most of which had held GMT, GoMining's native token for mining allocation and ecosystem access, prior to the hack.

While holding GMT alone does not confirm platform affiliation for every address, the link between the drained wallets and GoMining remains on-chain inference, not company confirmation. The suspected theft address was flagged by CoinGabbar as the destination point of the initial drain.
