Grayscale Introduces BNB to Smart Contract Fund Amid Quarterly Rebalancing
Grayscale Investments has completed its quarterly rebalancing of several cryptocurrency funds, effective August 3. The firm's DeFi Fund now holds a diversified portfolio led by Uniswap at 34.16%, followed by Ondo Finance at 25.44%, Aave at 19.97%, Ethena at 12.19%, Curve DAO at 4.42%, and Lido DAO at 3.82%. This composition underscores Grayscale's focus on established DeFi protocols while incorporating emerging projects.
In the Smart Contract Fund, Grayscale introduced Binance Coin (BNB), which now accounts for 31% of the fund's weight. Ethereum and Solana each represent 29%, indicating a balanced approach among major smart contract platforms. The inclusion of BNB marks a significant shift, as the fund previously concentrated on Ethereum and Solana.
Grayscale's Decentralized AI Fund also underwent rebalancing, with NEAR's weight reduced to 31%. The fund now allocates 29% to Bittensor (TAO), 22% to Render (RENDER), and 18% to Filecoin (FIL). This adjustment reflects Grayscale's ongoing assessment of AI-focused blockchain projects.
