Grayscale Withdraws Cardano ETF Registration Amid ADA Price Struggle
Grayscale's proposed Cardano ETF has been withdrawn without an SEC rejection. The decision comes as Cardano [ADA] traded near $0.194, struggling to reclaim $0.20. Grayscale voluntarily withdrew the registration statement for the Cardano ETF on August 7, citing no specific commercial or regulatory reason.
The withdrawal removes one potential route for direct institutional exposure, but it does not change Cardano's underlying protocol development. The Van Rossem hard fork activated on July 18, introducing improvements to Plutus performance and stake-pool security.
Despite this setback, ADA still needs a confirmed close above $0.20 to strengthen its recovery. Weakening capital flows show buyers have yet to secure the breakout.
