Grayscale's Zcash ETF Prepares 3-for-1 Share Split Amid Rapid Growth
Grayscale's Zcash ETF has announced a 3-for-1 share split after attracting over $233 million in cumulative inflows since its August launch. This rapid growth has driven the fund to reach nearly $890 million in net assets by September 17, with trading volume exceeding $11 billion.
The share split will occur on September 30, with shareholders receiving two additional shares for each share owned as of the record date on September 28. The split-adjusted trading will begin immediately after, and the fund's ticker and CUSIP number will remain unchanged.
This move is significant, as it marks an unusually early adjustment for a newly launched crypto ETF. The growth in ZCSH has been fueled by strong performance from ZEC, which has seen its price rise above $1,600 during September. This rally has also coincided with a broader institutional push into privacy-focused crypto exposure.
