Grayscale's Zcash ETF Sees Explosive Growth Ahead of Split

Grayscale's Zcash ETF has seen significant inflows since its launch on August 25, with over $233 million in cumulative net inflows as of September 18. This is a notable figure considering the fund only started trading on NYSE Arca last month.

The data also shows that ZCSH had around $890 million in net assets and more than $11 billion in trading volume as of September 17, according to The Block. However, it's essential to note that these figures measure different aspects of the fund's activity and are not equivalent to net inflows.

Grayscale has announced a 3-for-1 forward share split for ZCSH, which will take effect on September 30. This means each pre-split share will become three post-split shares, resulting in two additional shares for each held by shareholders. The split applies to those of record at market close on September 28.

The ETF's reported inflow surge coincided with a price increase in Zcash's native token, ZEC, which climbed as high as $1,521 early Friday. However, it's essential to establish that the contemporaneous price move is not the cause of ZCSH's flows.
