Greece has officially welcomed its first crypto-asset service providers to the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) register. According to the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), four Greek firms have been added to the list, bringing the total number of unique providers on the MiCA register to 359.

The newly listed providers are BCash, Xenios Blockchain Group, Capital Wallet Greece, and Piraeus Bank. This development is significant as it marks a step in the country's rollout of MiCA supervision and highlights how regulatory responsibilities can be split across different Greek institutions.

ESMA's listing reflects that HCMC (Hellenic Capital Market Commission) is designated as the competent authority for three providers, while the Bank of Greece oversees Piraeus Bank. This arrangement allows Greece to demonstrate flexibility in its approach to MiCA oversight, which is consistent with the framework's design.
