GTA 6 Leak Promotes Meme Coin Amid Accusations of Scam
The latest Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) leak has emerged from a mysterious group called CyberLeek, which claims to be fighting against alleged greed in the game industry. The group began posting images and in-game clips on Tuesday, showcasing actual gameplay of GTA 6's main character driving a car on a highway, crashing into a delivery truck, and beating up its driver. Rockstar Games has responded by filing copyright infringement notices, forcing social media platforms to remove the videos.
CyberLeek justifies the leaks as a way to expose Rockstar's focus on profit over game development, citing GTA 6 preorders that can reach $99. The group also published a manifesto demanding publishers forbid digital preorders and single-player content sales. However, CyberLeek is facing accusations of scamming the public after it emerged that the group is using the leak to promote its own digital meme coin on Solana.
Stop Killing Games, a group devoted to game preservation, has condemned the leaks, calling CyberLeek out as a group of hackers. The group warns against sending money to CyberLeek, saying 'do not send these people your money, no matter how much sympathy you may feel for their actions.'
