Hack VC Partner Hsin-Ju Chuang Dies at 37, Cause Unspecified

Hsin-Ju Chuang, a former partner at Hack VC, has passed away at age 37. The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner confirmed that she was pronounced dead at the scene on August 24 after California Highway Patrol officers responded to Interstate 15 south of Field Road.

Chuang had previously served as head of growth at Stellar and Solana, and founded Dystopia Labs before joining Hack VC in 2021. She became a partner and head of platform in 2025, but the company said they were not aware of her death, having last spoken to her over 10 months prior.

Hack VC co-founder Alexander Pack expressed condolences on behalf of the firm, stating that they were 'shocked and saddened' by Chuang's passing. He added that they had no further information about the circumstances surrounding her death.
