Hayes Sets $10,000 ETH Target, BTC Long Remains Structural
Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX and chief investment officer at Maelstrom, reaffirmed his long position in Bitcoin (BTC) in a recent newsletter. He also set a price target for Ether (ETH) to reach $10,000 by the end of 2026.
Maelstrom's crypto positioning remains unchanged, with BTC as its anchor asset. Hayes did not provide a specific price target for BTC but described it as a 'structural long.'
Hayes' targets are more speculative and include $10,000 for ETH by the end of 2026, which is roughly 320% above current levels. He also set targets for Ethena (ENA) at $0.50 and Ether.fi (ETHFI) at $2.
The newsletter focused on macro dynamics, specifically euro-yen relationships, which Hayes believes will boost dollar liquidity. This view ties to his broader claim that Bessent's buyback playbook will increase dollar liquidity.
