Hedera Price Slumps 10%, But Smart Money Sees Opportunity

Hedera's price took a hit yesterday, plummeting by 10% to $0.11 in a single session on $70 million in volume.

Despite this dip, open interest on Binance Futures surged by 28% in 24 hours, reaching over $62 million in notional value. This explosive growth is a clear indication that smart money is loading the dip and seeing it as an opportunity to build positions.

Joerg Hiller points out that when OI surges while price drops, you're not witnessing capitulation, you're watching positioning. In this case, top traders are 70% net long on HBAR, with a taker buy/sell ratio of 1.13, indicating aggressive market orders skewing towards the buy side.

The technical picture remains constructive, with HBAR trading above its 7-day, 20-day, 50-day, and 200-day moving averages, every single one of them. However, momentum has stalled, as confirmed by the MACD histogram zeroing out completely.

Hillier concludes that the asymmetry still favors the bulls, with a $0.02 risk against a potential $0.10-$0.13 reward, and recommends keeping an eye on the level at $0.10, not a wick, but a close below it would indicate a breakdown in the technical structure.
