David Hoffman, co-founder of Bankless, made headlines in May when he sold his Ethereum (ETH) holdings and invested in several alternative cryptocurrencies.

The move sparked debate within the cryptocurrency community due to Bankless's strong affiliation with the Ethereum ecosystem.

According to data provided by DeFi researcher Ignas, Hoffman shifted a portion of his portfolio to LIT, ZEC, NEAR, and VVV tokens after selling ETH.

The performance of these assets has since been scrutinized, with some showing significant gains. LIT rose by approximately 369%, while Zcash (ZEC) increased by about 110%, and NEAR by around 54% during the same period.

Ethereum's increase was limited to around 8%, whereas VVV, one of Hoffman's preferred assets, performed negatively, losing approximately 6 percent of its value.
