HSBC Hong Kong has made history by becoming the first bank to allow its customers access to Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on its investment platform.

The move marks a significant step towards mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies, with these ETFs offering traders exposure to digital assets based on derivative contracts that trade on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME).

Two of the listed ETFs are managed by CSOP Asset Management: CSOP Bitcoin Futures ETF and CSOP Ethereum Futures ETF. The third is the Samsung Bitcoin Futures Active ETF, managed by Samsung Asset Management Hong Kong.
