HTX's Proof of Reserves Riddled with Inaccuracies

HTX's proof of reserves (PoR) has raised serious concerns about its transparency and accuracy. The company, owned by Justin Sun, claimed to hold $360,949.90 in USDS at a specific blockchain address on September 1, but an investigation revealed that the address actually contained zero USDS at that time.

The discrepancy was discovered through Etherscan's Account Balance Checker tool, which showed no USDS in the address on September 1. However, there was a transaction on September 2, after the PoR was published, that deposited USDS into the address.

This is not an isolated incident. HTX has made similar mistakes in its previous PoRs, including claiming to hold STEAK-USDC at a certain block height when it actually held an equivalent amount of sUSDS. The company has yet to respond to requests for comment on these discrepancies.
