This move coincided with the launch of manual borrows on the platform, which allows users to supply HYPE and BTC as collateral to borrow USDC or USDT.

According to Jeff, a core contributor posting as @chameleon_jeff, 'Portfolio margin and manual borrows share the same HyperCore infrastructure.'

The available data show that $269 million in assets had already been borrowed at the time of the announcement, with rates adjusting according to utilization.
