Hyperliquid Open Interest Surges to Record $16.36 Billion
Hyperliquid's open interest has surged to a record $16.36 billion following the expansion of its trading platform into stocks, commodities, and prediction markets.
The milestone was reached after the rollout of HIP-3, which introduced perpetual futures markets for U.S. stocks, gold, crude oil, the S&P 500, and private companies such as SpaceX.
As a result, cumulative trading volume in HIP-3 markets exceeded $548 billion, accounting for about 30% of Hyperliquid's total trading volume over the past 30 days.
The launch of prediction markets under HIP-4 also contributed to the increase in open interest, as third-party developers began launching their own markets tied to specific events.
According to BlockBeats, Hyperliquid's open interest rose to a record $16.36 billion, surpassing its previous record set on September 18 last year.
