Hyperliquid’s Perps Hit Bloomberg as HYPE Targets New High
Hyperliquid has expanded its reach into traditional finance with its perpetual futures data now available on the Bloomberg Terminal. This integration allows institutional investors to monitor Hyperliquid markets alongside traditional assets like crypto, commodities, equities, indexes, and FX. Michael McDonough, Head of Market Innovation at Bloomberg Terminal, shared the news on X, highlighting the feature's utility for professional workflows. While the integration does not support direct trading, it positions Hyperliquid as a growing player in decentralized market infrastructure.
In parallel, Hyperliquid has introduced a new USDC yield mechanism, delivering its first $14.58 million payment to the protocol’s HYPE buyback fund. Under the AQAv2 framework, around 90% of the cost-adjusted reserve yield from USDC supply is shared with Hyperliquid and directed toward buying HYPE tokens. This adds another revenue stream beyond trading fees, with estimates suggesting the mechanism could generate approximately $200 million in annual revenue at current rates.
The combined developments have pushed HYPE’s price above $95, bringing the $100 mark into focus. The token’s all-time high stands at $97.96, set in September. Additionally, the holder base for HYPE has expanded, with over 50,000 wallets now holding more than 10 HYPE, the highest figure since August 15. While these updates do not guarantee higher token prices, they underscore Hyperliquid’s strategy of increasing visibility and directing platform economics back toward HYPE.
