Hyperscale Data Sells 685 BTC to Fund Michigan Data Center Expansion

Hyperscale Data, an AI data center operator anchored by Bitcoin, has sold approximately 685 BTC for around $43 million. This move will help fund a Michigan data center buildout and cut debt by about $30 million.

The company's treasury now stands at about 275 coins, with Hyperscale announcing that mining will continue. The sale was based on recent prices, which have fluctuated in the market.

This move follows a wider trend among listed miners who are converting coin reserves into electrical capacity and hardware for artificial intelligence tenants. Singapore-based Bitdeer cleared its treasury in February and Florida-based MARA sold about $1.5 billion worth of coins in May to fund AI infrastructure and debt repurchases.
