IBIT Options Price Calm After Bitcoin Rebound
According to Saxo Bank's analysis of options on BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), the market is pricing calmer conditions following Bitcoin's recent rebound. The implied volatility of IBIT stood at 37.4%, which is lower than its realized volatility of 45.5% over the past 20 trading sessions.
Saxo investment and options strategist Koen Hoorelbeke noted that IBIT's implied volatility rank was near the bottom of its 12-month range, with a ranking of 11.9 based on Wednesday's data. This suggests that investors expect smaller price swings in the future compared to recent past movements.
Hoorelbeke also identified potential resistance around $87,000, where Bitcoin's advance stalled on September 21, and support between $76,000 and $77,000. At the time of writing, Bitcoin traded at $84,751, up 1.6% in the last 24 hours.
