IBIT Surges $196 Million as FBTC Sees $61 Million Outflows

BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (NASDAQ: IBIT) saw a remarkable $196 million inflow on October 1, 2026, making it the largest single-day inflow for any U.S. spot Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) fund that week.

This was in stark contrast to the Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (CBOE: FBTC), which experienced $61 million in outflows and finished the week with only one day of positive inflows.

Both funds invest in the same cryptocurrency and charge an identical annual fee of 0.25%, but IBIT's significant size, holding roughly $67 billion in net assets as of September 28, makes it easier for large trades.

The largest exits from FBTC aligned with the end of the quarter, immediately after a strong week of $702 million in inflows, while IBIT's $196 million inflow seems to reflect investors specifically choosing the larger fund.
