IBM has announced the beta release of its Digital Asset Haven platform's new features, which include connectivity to SWIFT's blockchain-based shared ledger and an on-premises version. The company aims to support tokenized deposit transactions and digital asset management at its customers' premises.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 20022 financial messaging standard and adapters connecting the blockchain with existing payment systems will also be made available in beta. This allows participating financial institutions to issue instructions for tokenized deposit transactions using standardized messages, leveraging their existing business processes.

According to IBM, the shared ledger was designed in collaboration with over 40 global financial institutions, including 17 that are already conducting proof-of-concepts of tokenized deposits. Additionally, several banks have successfully tested the platform's capabilities.
