ICE and tZERO Team Up on Tokenized Securities Infrastructure
Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), parent company of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), has partnered with tZERO Group to develop infrastructure for ICE's planned NYSE-affiliated tokenized securities platform. This collaboration will bring regulated tokenized markets closer to public equities, where ICE operates.
tZERO will help design digital transfer-agent and broker-dealer systems that would underpin on-chain settlement of tokenized securities transactions. The agreement positions tZERO as the exchange operator's premier design partner for these systems.
ICE will invest in tZERO's latest financing round and receive a license to tZERO's blockchain patent portfolio, which spans 23 patent families and 103 patents covering key parts of the security-token lifecycle. This partnership highlights how incumbent exchanges are choosing to assemble regulated tokenization infrastructure through partnerships.
